Vallejo news, California news.

The disturbing video showing the deadly shooting of a California rapper by a police squad sparked national outrage since it was posted on YouTube.

The footage captured by a witness shows multiple officers firing more than a dozen times at Willie McCoy, 20, while he was sleeping inside his car then ordering him to surrender, yelling: " Let me see your hands! Put your hands up!"

Vallejo police argued that the victim had a gun on his lap and that he tried to reach the gun when he was woken up by officers who opened fire out of fear for their own lives.

The man who filmed the 39 seconds video said that he was in shock during the incident: "It's brutality at its finest because even after shooting him so many times, they still gave commands," he said.
