The Florida rapper who went famous after his "Murder on My Mind" single has been charged with the slayings of two "rap family members" as he once called them.

Jamell Demons aka YNW Melly, 19, and his other friend Cortlen Henry, 20, were both charged with first-degree murder in the slayings of Anthony Williams and Christopher Thomas Jr. that occurred on Oct. 26, 2018 in South Florida.

"The investigation, supported by forensic evidence, has concluded that Demons shot and killed Williams and Thomas Jr. and that Demons and Henry staged the crime scene to resemble a drive-by shooting," police said.

Authorities believe that Henry drove the vehicle as Demons shot the two victims.

Demons had called the victims members of the YNW Family and denied any involvement in his "brothers" killings.
