Washington D.C. news, Washington news.

D.C. Authorities announced on Thursday that a shooting had occurred at a temp agency in the northeast of the city leaving one employee dead, another critically injured and undergoing surgery.

Peter Newsham, D.C. Police Chief, said that the suspected gunman was masked and wearing a multi-colored top. He described him as a 5 feet 11 inches to 6 feet 2 inches tall male who didn't seem to have a robbery intention. "It does not appear to be a robbery because it doesn't look like he tried to take anything," Newsham said.

The gunman entered the agency on the 1700 block of Hamlin Street NE and shot the two male workers several times before escaping.

Investigators are trying to identify the suspect based on surveillance video and witnesses' reports.
