The suspect who has allegedly killed four people including three teens early this month in Palm Springs has escaped from the hospital where he was being treated.
19-year-old Jose Laren-Garcia was with the teens when the slaying happened, His car has reportedly collided with a parked Jeep in Palm Springs' Demuth Park neighborhood.
According to his lawyer, Laren-Garcia was rushed to the hospital suffering from a head injury: "He left the hospital on his own out of fear of being arrested," he said.
The suspect was allegedly accused of shooting dead the victims before the accident that has occurred in the night on Sunny Dunes Road at El Placer .
He made his court appearance with the assistance of a Spanish-language interpreter.
