Wheeling news, Virginia news.

A Wheeling husband was charged with involuntary manslaughter in the murder of his wife after allegedly closing a hot tub's lid over her and walking away.

On a camera footage, the couple were seen drinking in the hot tub for a moment before 57-year-old Laura Huska made a failed attempt to get out. The video showed the suspect, Eric Huska, 58, initially helping his wife out then suddenly closing the lid, leaving her to drown inside.

"For whatever reason he put the cover over her head," Deputy Chief Todd Wolff said. "We are sure alcohol was a major factor."

The victim was seen on the video struggling to get out before stopping. 90 minutes later, the suspect returned to open the lid and find his lifeless wife floating in the water.

Huska's bail was set at $10,000.
