A civilian U.S. Army employee is being investigated in Germany for bodily harm leading to death after he allegedly stabbed one of four suspected burglars to death and fought off the others.
The four suspects reportedly rang the unidentified homeowner's doorbell and attacked him forcing their way into the house. He was able to fight off three suspects and get them out of the door. "I just fought like hell. I didn't know how I got the three guys back out the door," he said.
However, one of the attackers made his way upstairs and strangled the Army employee's wife, pinning her down.
The 41-year-old homeowner had no other choice but to fatally stab the attacker with a kitchen knife in order to save his wife and three children.
German police announced the arrest of one of the three suspects.
