A Montgomery father was charged after shooting his wife and her daughter inside their home early Sunday morning.
Anterrio Johnson reportedly pointed a firearm at his wife as she entered home at about 5:30 a.m., court records reported.
Police said that the victim's teen daughter was sleeping in a couch at the family's living room in the time of the incident.
The mother claims in a petition for protection that she filed shortly later after the attack: "When I got home, I managed to run inside before he could catch me. However, once I was inside my home, he started shooting into my home with a gun."
Johnson is being held in prison. He faces charges of shooting into an occupied dwelling and third-degree domestic violence.
