Powerful winter storms bringing snow, ice and rain from the Pacific Northwest to the Midwest

Massive winter storms Tuesday morning that bring snow, ice and precipitation from the Pacific Northwest to the Midwest and Northeast. Snowy roads are a problem for motorists in Tacoma, Washington, Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Chicago. The storm is responsible for at least one death.

More than 1,400 flights have been canceled. Up to two feet of snow is expected in some areas.

In Philadelphia, a bus crashed into the side of a building during the night after hitting a patch of ice. A person has been injured. New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy declared a state of emergency. About 1,400 salt and plow trucks are on the roads across New Jersey and New York.

Seattle saw record amounts of snow with more than 20 inches of fall in just 12 days. February is the snowiest of all time.
