A man will appear in court because of stabbing another man with a bottle at Penrith

Emergency services were called to Station Street soon after a man stabbed another man with a bottle in Penrith yesterday. Emergency services found a 45-year-old man stabbed in the chest and shoulder. He was taken to Westmead Hospital, where he is scheduled for surgery.

Police learned that the man was stabbed with a broken glass bottle as a result of an altercation.

The officers of the Nepean Regional Police Command established a crime scene and opened an investigation into the incident.

A 43-year-old man was arrested at the scene and taken to the Penrith Police Station.

He was charged with plague with intent to cause serious bodily harm.

The Kingswood man was denied bail today in the Penrith Local Court.
