Police said that a woman was found dead in Marshalltown hair salon early Sunday.
Officer discovered the body of Ginger Carter, 39, at around 11:15 a.m. after an emergency call from Center Cuts & More at 19 South Center St claiming an "unattended death" inside the business, police announced in a recent statement.
Authorities are now investigating the death along with Marshalltown Police Department, the Marshall County Medical Examiner, the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation and the Marshall County Attorney's Office.
The woman's cause of death has not been determined at this time.
No safety public issue has been reported. The autopsy is believed to be performed on Monday.
