California woman run over while trying to stop robbery

A California woman remains at hospital in a critical state after being run over by a teen who was driving as she attempted to stop him from stealing a concession stand.

The event took place in Thousand Oaks High School parking lot on Friday at about 8:15 p.m. during a basketball game.

Lisa Solis, 50, witnessed a 16-year-old teen robbing candy from the concession stand before driving his car in an attempt to escape the area.

The woman posed in front of the vehicle in order to prevent him from fleeing.

The teen continued driving and running her over.

Solis was immediately transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries in the head.

The teenager was arrested at his residence and was taken into a juvenile center with charges of suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon.
