Campell police announced Saturday that they had determined the identity of the gunman who barricaded himself on Friday inside a Denny's restaurant during at least 12-hours standoff with cops.

37-year-old Saunray Winchester reportedly entered in a fight with the restaurant worker around 5:18 a.m. Witnesses said that he attacked him while holding a gun.

The incident caused fear and anxiety between the restaurant's customers and employees who immediately exited the shop before calling 911.

When deputy arrived, Winchester who was setting at a booth refused to exit the restaurant.

After police tried hardly to convince him, he finally surrendered, reports said.

He was taken into Santa Clara County Jail with many charges pending against him including robbery and assault with a deadly weapon.
