A 4-year-old girl died after being tumbled out of a fourth-floor apartment window on Saturday, police said.
The incident took place outside 685 East 140th Street at around 4:55 p.m.
News outlets claimed that the child was with her family members at the time of the shocking tragedy. She was running back and forth in the Bronx apartment then entered another room and fell out after getting to the top portion of the window.
The toddler was rushed to Lincoln Medical Center where she died at the same day.
It remains unclear if any charges or arrests have been made in the event.
Authorities declined at first to release the name of the girl who was identified later as Helena Flores, reports said.
