News outlets reported that the incident happened on Thursday outside the musician Nashville house in the 3200 block of Torbett Street.
Nashville police press stated in a recent release: "The juveniles interacted with Yorlets, took his wallet and ultimately demanded that he surrounded the keys to his vehicle; It is believed that he was fatally shot after he refused."
The suspects have moved the victim's body to his house where he was discovered by his roommate at about 3 p.m.
The teens were held in prison. They face charges of criminal homicide.
