The Canadian suspect accused of killing eight persons in Toronto had received life in jail without possibility of parole for 24-years sentence.
Bruce McArthur has allegedly put cigars in his dead victims' mouths and dressed them in fur coats, authorities said.
About the decision, Ontario Superior Court Justice John McMahon states: "This sentence must reflect society's revulsion for such depravity and violence."
The suspect has killed his victims, dismembered them before burying them in large planters at his own house.
McArthur has entered a guilty plea admitting the charges pending against him including eight counts of first degree murder.
During the sentence court McMahon said :"Mr. McArthur would no doubt have continued killing innocents victims if not apprehended."
