Police said that Jason Reeves, a 32-year-old Brooklyn man, reportedly stabbed his 67-year-old mother at least once in the chest and repeatedly in the face in the Albany Houses of Crown Heights earlier this week.
Sources said Although lmReeves burned her mother's body and hid her in the bedroom closet of their apartment.
The body was only discovered on Wednesday. The woman did not report for work at a college and a colleague called the police.
When the police officers showed up at the apartment, Reeves left them inside and they immediately detected the smell of the woman's body coming from the closet.
