Officials said a woman was killed and two others injured Thursday morning in a fire that also killed a dog and four cats.
On Thursday morning, the authorities identified the woman as Kira Marchington-Moon, 62, from Bethel.
The fire broke out at approximately 12:56 pm in a mobile two-story house in a mobile home park in the Village of Santiago Island, part of the Gateway road.
Five people belonging to the same family were inside the house when the fire broke out, officials said.
Firefighters were able to control the fire after about an hour.
Two residents who survived the fire were taken to the hospital. The Red Cross helped both people.
The cause of the fire is under investigation, but Battalion Chief of Contra Costa Fire District, Ross Macumber said it was because of the electricity.
