Montana man charged after mistakenly shooting friend

A Great Falls man has been charged with criminal endangerment after he mistakenly shot his friend last November.

Nicholas Allyn Brazer was charged with felony criminal endangerment after the shooting of one of two friends who were with him inside a home in 1100 block of 1st Avenue Southwest. Responding officers found the victim shot in the stomach and bleeding while the third man, intoxicated and frightened, assisted the victim. Braser was also there, sitting in the living room.

When police questioned the victim, he said that he along with the two other men were handling the gun, intoxicated and that Brazer shot him as he smoke a cigarette outside.

Brazer is being held on a $10,000 bond.
