A school bus driver was injured during a fatal shooting that occurred Tuesday afternoon after a car crash on a snowy road near downtown Minneapolis, police said.
According to reports, an only elementary student who was setting in the back at the time of the incident was unhurt, and he was later gathered with his parents.
The bus driver was rushed immediately to the hospital. He sustained non-life threatening wounds, his state is improving, police spokesman John Elder said.
Witnesses claimed that a man who was outside of a vehicle fired at the small bus. He was arrested shortly later by authorities and was taken into custody.
The shooter was accused of second-degree assault.
