Woman accused of dealing Xanax, causing 19-year-old woman's death has bond reduced

A 19-year-old woman accused of delivering Xanax that caused a 19-year-old McHenry woman's death has her bond reduced.

Reanna Salas, a 19-year-old, has been arrested for homicide after Facebook messages linked her to Rachel Ramirez, who died following a use of Xanax, the controlled substance that Salas and Jacob Reis, 22, bought and delivered.

Her attorneys asked the judge to reduce her bond from $250,000 to $50,000. However, Judge Robert Wilbrandt only agreed to reduce it to $150,000. Salas will also have to live under a set of conditions, if released, such us electronic home monitoring, random drug and alcohol testing, and counseling.

She is being held at the McHenry County Jail. Her next court appearance is set for March, 4.
