Gurnee news, Illinois news.

A badly burned body was found inside a torched car in Warren Township Saturday night, Lake County authorities said.

The car is believed to be drove by a reported vanished Milwaukee woman whose name has not be released.

The burned body was discovered when police officers responded to an emergency call at around 9:50 p.m. Saturday in the 36500 block of North Route 41.

According to sheriff's Sgt Christopher Covelli, the investigation into the event continues to clarify the details of the woman's disappearance.

The bones and other evidence will be studied by a staff anthropologist.

Covelli said that the car was a Pontiac sedan and that it was discovered in a residential neighborhood near Route and Stearns School Road.
