Royse City authorities announced Sunday the deaths of two teenagers who have been found shot blocks away from high school.
The shooting occurred in the 3100 block of Overstreet Lane at around 3 p.m. when the two victims were found shot dead at the scene. The teens' names were not immediately released but the police district confirmed on Twitter that one of them was a current student at Royse City High School, while the other was a former student.
Witnesses said that a vehicle of interest was reported to the investigators. A third person is believed to be involved in the shooting described as "tragic" by RCISD.
Police asked neighbors and anyone with relevant information to help in the investigation.
