That's why "El Chapo" is being tried in Brooklyn!

The Mexican drug lord, Joaquin Guzman, also known as "El Chapo" has a trial scheduled on Tuesday, in Brooklyn, after 22 months of incarceration in Lower Manhattan. But there is one question that bothers the case's followers: Why is he being tried in New York rather than in Mexico?

The answer is for mangy reasons, not only Guzman is the most hated criminal in his country, but more importantly he had famously escaped the Mexican prisons twice by the past, in 2001, and again in 2015, and by doing so he was breaking out of the most secured jails in his native country.

This is not the only case of this type, as the U.S. has a long history of trying foreign prisoners when other countries judicial system is unable to handle them.
