TSA employee jumps to his death at Orlando airport, leading it to standstill

According to police, a transportation security administration worker committed suicide Saturday at Orlando international airport.

The Orlando Police Department reports that the 40-year-old man intentionally jumped from the Hyatt Regency Hotel into an atrium at the airport at around 9:30.

He was immediately rushed to the hospital when he died later in the day.

A witness claimed that he noticed the man approaching a balcony before jumping from it which leaded to his death, adding: "Thought it was strange and then thought he may be observing the security area below since he was TSA. I wish I would have said something to him."

The Orlando Police Department expressed deep condolences and thoughts through a tweet: "Our hearts are with the TSA family during this difficult time."
