A Chicago police officer was found dead Saturday night in her car, according to reports.
The agent was found shortly after 21:30. The Chicago Tribune said it had not been publicly identified.
"The Chicago Police now report that the S Bell 900 incident, an officer fatally injured by the shooting, constituted an investigation into the death, no alleged criminal act having been committed and no one keeping him in view," said Maggie Hoyne in a tweet.
The investigators initially suspected that she had been shot and dead in a domestic-related incident and that a man had been interrogated. They then claimed that no criminal act was suspected.
