Police release sketch of suspect who tried to kidnap Illinois teen

The sketch of a man accused of attempting to convince a Prospect High School student to enter his vehicle while she walked home last week has been released by Arlington Heights police Friday.

According to the sketch, the unknown man was described as a young white man (between 20 and 30-years-old) with a mustache, dark brown hair and a manicured beard.

The incident happened on Jan. 24 at 3:30 p.m. in the area of Kensington Road, Phelps Avenue and Miner Street.

Authorities reported that when the man who was driving a tan/yellow four-door Kia Soul tried to approach the 15-year-old teen asking her to enter in the car, she refused. He kept looking at her for a moment before fleeing away.
