Texas husband gets life in jail for throwing wife into lake, tying her to concrete

According to police, the Texas man who confessed to the killing of his wife by tying a massive slab of concrete to her before throwing her off a bridge into a lake has got life in prison.

On Wednesday, 36-year-old Rodolfo Arellano pleaded guilty to capital murder. He would serve life in jail with no possibility to parole.

The incident happened in April 2016 when fishermen claimed that they heard screams and noticed somebody falling from the bridge, police then found the body of Elizabeth Arellano in Lake Worth. Police arrested her husband in the 10 following days.

According to reports, she was tied around the neck and attached to a 54-kilogram hunk of concrete. Investigators thought at first she has committed suicide.
