A Utah nanny who was captured on a camera footage hitting and shaking a 5-month-old baby girl twins has been charged.
20-year-old MvKenna Newell faces charges of felony child abuse. She remains in custody at the Salt Lake County Jail after she went to authorities and turned herself in Thursday.
On a camera footage released on Jan. 5 and provided by the father of the twins to police, Newell was caught repeatedly hitting one of the two girls in the leg and brutally sitting the other in a couch. She is also seen covering the babies' noses and mouths with her hand, reports said.
The nanny has confessed to the acts saying: "I was frustrated and did not know what to do; I did not remember doing the things on the video."
