Woodbridge Township news, New Jersey news.

A New Jersey man has been charged with insurance fraud and theft by deception in a bogus insurance claim after faking a fall at his business.

Alexander Goldinsky, 57, was caught on video slipping and falling at his Woodbridge Township workplace. He can be seen throwing ice cubes on the ground before falling onto the floor.

The independent contractor filed an insurance claim between Sept. 1 and Nov. 1 for his alleged injuries.

"Fraudulent claims cost everyone and we will aggressively prosecute those who illegally manipulate the system," said prosecutor Andrew Carey.

Goldinsky was arrested on Jan. 15 and charged this week in connection with the fraudulent event documented on the surveillance video.
