Chicago Judge sets $3 million bail for suspected murderer

A Chicago man suspected of killing a Roselle man in Jan. 13 was arrested and is being held on a $3 million bail by a DuPage County judge, authorities said.

Brandon Foster, 25, was charged with first degree murder for the shooting dead of 22-year-old Jerry McCray who left his own home in the 200 block of Springhill Drive on Jan. 13 at around 3 p.m. to gather with his friend in a car before smoking marijuana inside it.

Foster allegedly pulled out his 45-caliber firearm and shot the victim several times before running away.

Reports said that McCray was discoverd lately severely bleeding and unconscious before being transferred to the Medical Center where he was prounonced dead.

The suspect is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 25.
