News outlets said that a New Jersey man was arrested on aggravated assault and unlicensed practice of medicine after a woman had suffered facial scars as a result of a botched laser surgery.
72-year-old Young Hwan allegedly performed laser surgery on the face of the victim whose name wasn't released in November, 2017 causing her a "significant bodily injury" including scars on face and chin, the Bergen County Prosecutors's Office said.
Investigators insisted that the suspect practiced the medicine illegally since he was not a doctor.
Prosecutors' office stated: "Any individuals who suffered injury as a result of treatment injury by Young Hwan Choi are urged to contact the Palisades Park Police Department to report the incident."
