Gaston County news, North Carolina news.

A woman who made news for giving birth to a North Carolina county's first baby of 2019 in a moving car was arrested for running a methamphetamine trafficking operation out of that same vehicle.

32-year-old Jessica Dawn Killian was arrested outside a motel early Tuesday. Gastonia police say she had 36 grams of meth she planned to sell, using a 2011 Chevrolet Cruze where she previously gave birth to her son Atom Bomb on new year's day.

Jail records show Killian was arrested on similar charges on Dec. 13, less than three weeks before giving birth.

In addition to Atom Bomb, Killian has three other children. There is no word on who has custody of Killian’s four children.

Killian is being held on $75,000 bond after being charged with trafficking in methamphetamine; possession with the intent to manufacture, sell and deliver methamphetamine; and maintaining a vehicle for a controlled substance; in addition to a misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia, according to jail records.
