Louisiana alleged killer of 5 arrested in Richmond grandmother's house

Louisiana police announced Sunday the arrest of a 21-year-old man in connection with the deadly shooting that left 5 deaths.

Dakota Theriot was pulled up to his grandmother's home, near Richmond, in Virginia after the fearful woman asked police to check on the home to know if it is safe to return after being all night in a hotel.

The suspect had a firearm on him which he dropped before being taken into custody.

Ascension Parish Sheriff Bobby Webre states that: "He would be transported back to Ascension Parish at a later date and booked on two counts of first-degree murder, home invasion, and illegal use of weapons," he also faces three counts of murder in Livingston Parish.

Theriot allegedly shot his girlfriend, her brother and her father and his 50-year-old parents.
