Sunday, January 27, 2019, the emergency services were summoned, about 10 km south of Wallacia, after a group of men fought in the water.
Three men, believed to be 20 years old, were saved by passers-by. However, a 23-year-old man did not resurface after disappearing underwater.
A search was conducted with local police, assisted by NSW Police, Fire and Rescue Divers, NSW Ambulance and NSW State Emergency Service.
Shortly after 1:30 pm, police divers found the body of a man, allegedly a 23-year-old Nepalese national.
It has not been officially identified yet.
Officers from the Nepean Regional Police Command will prepare a report for the coroner.
