Authorities announced Saturday that an Alabama inmate who escaped from the jail where he was serving a life sentence for human trafficking has been arrested.
Following an 8 p.m. security check on Wednesday, 30-year-old Corey Aris Davis was considered missing from St. Clair Correctional Facility in Springville.
Alabama Department of corrections spokesman Bob Horton states that while Davis was working in the prison furniture plant, he used a piece of furniture to conceal himself and hid inside a trailer to haul furniture.
The suspect was reportedly helped by three other inmates.
He was accused of a human trafficking conviction in Lauderdale County and was sentenced to life behind bars.
