An armed robbery at a service station in the state’s west today.

On Saturday, January 26, 2019, two men entered a service station on Beryl Street, Broken Hill, and approached the guard, a 24-year-old man.

The police learned that one of the men had threatened the officer with a knife before stealing money and escaping using a bicycle.

The second man left the store on foot.

The attendant was not injured during the incident.

Officers from the Barrier Police District were informed and opened an investigation.

The detectives want to know more information about the two men.

The first man is described as being 20 years old, approximately 180 cm tall and slender in size, with a 20-year-old native / insular appearance from the Torres Strait.

The second male is described as being of native / insular appearance in the Strait of Torres, about 130 cm tall, of slim build and presumed to be about 10 years old.
