Today, Saturday, January 26, 2019, emergency services were called on the Mid-Western Highway, Blayney, after the announcement that a Subaru Forester would have left the road to go to a nearby pen.

The driver, a 76-year-old Lyndhurst man, died on the scene. Her passenger, a 69-year-old woman, was treated on site by paramedics from New South Wales Ambulance before being taken to Bathurst Hospital.

Officers from the Chifley Police District are investigating the circumstances of the accident. Early investigations suggest that the man may have suffered a medical episode.

A report will be prepared for the coroner.
