At approximately 12:20 pm Friday, January 25, 2019), the emergency services were called at the intersection of Campbell Parade and Notts Avenue in Bondi, following the announcement of a car accident involving three cars.

Police were told that a gray Toyota Corolla would have attempted to turn right into Notts Avenue from the outside lane and across the path of a black Mini Cooper.

The two cars collided, the Toyota spun and crashed into a gray Honda Civic stationary on Campbell Parade.

The Mini stopped 80 meters down the road.

No one was injured during the incident.

Officers from the Eastern Suburban Police District Command went to the scene and opened an investigation.

Drivers of all three vehicles were tested for alcohol on the scene. The Toyota and Mini drivers got a positive result.

The two drivers, a 39-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman, were arrested and taken to the Waverley Police Station where they underwent a breath analysis.

The man from Newtown would have read 0.067 and the woman from Paddington would have read 0.059.

A notice of court attendance in the field was issued to both countries for the lower PCA to appear in court at a later date.

All three vehicles were towed.
