A man charged after firearms, property and cannabis plants were seized in National park

Officers from the New England Police District have been informed of theft in the Ebor, Dorrigo and Bellingen areas.

Yesterday police visited Cathedral Rock National Park in Ebor and retrieved two ATVs, a loaded .22 caliber shotgun, ammunition assortment, feather duster, refrigerators, generators, cash, miscellaneous powers and other tools.

The total value of these items has been estimated at more than $ 50,000.

A cannabis site was also located with 193 cannabis plants seized in a covered and fenced area.

A 30-year-old man was arrested on the spot and taken to the Armidale police station. He was interrogated and charged with possession of firearms, unauthorized possession of ammunition and possession of a prohibited weapon.

He was released on bail on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 before the local court of Armidale.
