"Suits" will end with its ninth season and fans want to know if its most famous star will come back.

Aaron Korsh, creator of the popular series of American networks, spoke with Deadline about speculation as to whether Meghan Markle, now the Duchess of Sussex, will appear.

"At this minute, I do not know which of our former original players will be back and that will not be because we are so early in the season," he said.

The series aired for the first time in 2011 and the last season will feature 10 episodes.

The future royal played the leading role of Rachel Zane in the series and left before her marriage to Prince Harry.

Korsh said there was no truth in the British tabloid reports that he made a massive donation to attract the duchess.

"I have not arranged for millions of dollars to be paid for anything on behalf of anyone so I can tell you, but for the original people who come back, including Jessica ( Pearson played by Gina Torres, who will be in the spin-off, "Pearson") we are so early in the season that we have not formulated what we want to do, so we can not contact people until we know that we want to do, "he said.

"Suits" broadcast its eighth season.
