Texas man stabs nephew's dog in retaliation for his chicken' s killings

5years ago

Texas police arrested on Saturday a man on a charge of cruelty to non-livestock animals. He has since bonded out of the Travis County prison.

45-year-old Owen Jay Pettit allegedly drove a steak knife through the shoulder of his nephew's dog in retaliation for the killing of his chicken last year, reports say.

The 28-year-old nephew who lives in another house in the same property told police that he found his uncle pinning Jess, the dog, to the ground and plunged a steak knife in to the dog's shoulder while he yelled at him to stop on Saturday around 12:30 p.m.

The suspect showed no remorse saying that he committed the act to get back at the dog for killing his chicken last year.
