According to police, a body believed to belong to Emily Wade who was missing early this month, was discovered in a creek on Monday morning.

The 38-year-old mother has disappeared after visiting a friend's home in Texas on Jan. 5 at 5 p.m and left it at around 8:30 p.m, her mother said.

The Ennis Police department states that the body was found Monday morning by search volunteers in a creek bed that was known to be flooding on the night of Wade's disappearance.

The victim's mother claimed that her daughter said "she'd be gone a couple hours and I still believed she was planning on coming on home."

The reason of the death will be determined. The body will be identified by the Dallas County Medical Examiner's Office.
