Yesterday, around 8:20 pm, a couple was driving a Mercedes sedan on Darby Street in Cooks Hill when an object was thrown at their car.

The driver, a 24-year-old man, stopped the subject to inspect the damage and talk to a man who would have thrown the object.

The man fled and the driver of the Mercedes pursued him on foot.

At that time, a 24-year-old was sitting in the driver's seat of the Mercedes and waiting for him.

The pursued man crosses the neighborhoods of the world and forces the woman to leave the car and goes away.

No one was injured during the incident.

Police officers from the Newcastle District attended the meeting and set up a crime scene.

Police investigators arrested a 32-year-old man nearby.

He was taken to the Newcastle Police Station where he received instructions from a person inside or on board.

The man from Waratah West was denied bail on the Newcastle Local Court today.
