San Francisco police have arrested the suspect of the brutal beating of Yik Oihuang, 88, which occurred early this month.
According to authorities, 18-year-old Keonte Gathron was arrested Saturday after breaking into a home.
San Francisco Police Chief William Scott stated: "San Francisco Police Department investigators worked tirelessly to identify a suspect in this case; this is an ongoing investigation and we will have further details to follow later in the week."
The elderly woman was brutally attacked on Jan. 8 around 8 a.m at a park near her house while she stopped out to go exercise before the attacker break into the home across the street.
After the incident, an emotional Facebook post was published by her granddaughter.
