victims of double homicide were finally identified.

On November 8, 2018, Shreveport Police patrol officers got a call concerning a vehicle fire on the 3400 blocks of Penick St. police found the corps of two burned bodies inside the car and after an autopsy test the victims were identified as 43-year-old Kelly Jose and 33-year-old Heather Jose, a couple who went missing Thursday.

investigations led police to 34-year-old Dewayne Wille Watkins, police believe that the man murdered the couple after the gave him a ride in their car.

On November 10, a police squad was sent to search Watkins's house; which was located in the in the 3600 blocks of Penick Street.

Shreveport Police said that the United States Marshals Office, Louisiana State Police, Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office and the Bossier City Police Department worked hand in hand during the six hours standoff when the suspect used his house to block officers, and tried later tried to run away by jumping from a window only to land in the hands of K9 officer he suffered minor injuries and was taken into custody.

Dewayne Willie Watkins is charged second-degree murder and is being held in the Caddo Parish jail.

police officers are still looking into the horrific homicide incident and collecting evidence about the motives for the crime.
