A 12-year-old girl died and a nine-year-old girl was injured after the cracker collapsed on them, police said.
The Arlington Heights Police Department said the two girls were at church with their families in Arlington Heights, Illinois on Sunday when they went out to play.
When the girls left after about an hour, their families went to pick them up and found them under the snow.
Police said the 12-year-old girl was taken to hospital and died at 16:30. The 9-year-old boy was taken to hospital for low temperature and placed under surveillance.
"At present, there is no reason to suspect foul play, because it seems to be a tragic accident," said the police in a statement released Sunday.
