Police officer shot dead Sunday in Mobile, Alabama

Authorities reported that a police officer was shot dead Sunday in Mobile, Alabama.

Police officer Sean Tuder, of the Mobile Police Department, was killed while executing an arrest warrant late Sunday afternoon, said Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall.

The alleged perpetrators declared in custody.

Ashley Rich, District Attorney General, described Tudor as "one of the best officers in town".

"This tragedy is a stark reminder of the daily dangers faced by men and women of brave law enforcement," Rich said in a statement posted on Twitter on Sunday.

Mobile DA's Office on Twitter: ''Mobile lost one of its finest officers today.''
