According to Arizona police, a body camera footage that show a teenager fleeing before he was shot by a Tempe officer has been released.
Reports said that the officer was responding to a car break-in in an alley in Tempe when he noticed Antonio Arce, 14 burglarizing a vehicle and he ran away holding an item similar to a gun, Arce gets out of the passenger side of the truck and began running down the alley lined, when he turned toward the officers one of theme shot him twice.
Police later discovered a replica handgun that he stole from the car.
The boy was transported to the hospital where he was prounonced dead. His family asked for more information of his killing saying that he ran from the cops "because he was scared."
