According to U.S. think tank there is still at least 13 of an estimated 20 undeclared missile operating bases inside North Korea which underscore the hope of denuclearization .

North Korea has said it has closed its Punggye-ri nuclear testing site and the Sohae missile testing facility, raising the possibility of closing more sites especially after the landmark meeting between the North korean President Kim Jong Un and the U.S. President Donald Trump. During the meeting, the two presidents disscussed the denuclearization's agreement with little headway.

The sites identified in the CSIS report are localized in remote, mountainous areas across the country, and could be used to house missiles , and have not been acknowledged by North Korea.
