The body of a man has been located in a vehicle in the Clarence River

On Saturday 19 January 2019, around 7 pm, a member of the public discovered that a car had been submerged in the river off the Rogan’s Bridge at Seelands, near Grafton.

Emergency services were contacted and the body of a 43-year-old man was removed from the vehicle.

Investigations showed that the Toyota Land Cruiser was heading north to the Rogan Bridge, but for unknown reasons, it left the road and entered the water.

The accident took place on January 16th and 17th.

Officers from the Coffs / Clarence Police District are investigating the circumstances of the accident and a report on the death judge will be prepared.
